French legion in Russia (during world war II)

Inscription 'CORPS EXPEDITIONAIRE DE LA LEGION DES VOLONTAIRES FRANCAIS CONTRE LE BOLCHEVISME'. Other stamps exist.

Forgeries exist; I have seen modern Hialeah forgeries of the red stamp, made with a scanner and printer with 'FRONT DE L'EST OOSTFRONT' overprint. The stamp, cancel and overprints are forged. I've also seen forgeries with a this overprint double. I've also seen the black stamp with a double red inscription from the same source.

Provisional stamps issued by the Germans

(Inscription 'Besetztes Gebiet Nordfrankreich', certified genuine)

The above stamps are extremely rare, they were issued in Dunkerque (Dünkirchen). This overprint also exists on other values. Forgeries exist; I have seen modern Hialeah forgeries, with the overprint forged on genuine stamps!

Overprint 'Festung Lorient' issued for the fortress of Lorient in Bretagne; several stamps of France were overprinted as shown above (also on Petain type stamps).

The above overprint 'Festung Lorient' exists on the following stamps:
On Mercury issue: 10 c blue, 30 c red, 40 c violet, 50 c blue.
On Petain stamps: 60 c violet, 70 c orange, 1 F red, 1.20 F brown, 1.50 F brown, 2 F green, 4 F blue, 4.50 F green.
