Forgeries of all the above stamps exist! According to 'Focus on Forgeries' by V.E.Tyler, at least four different forgeries exist (one made by the forger Fournier). The right hand side of the island in the image should have a double outline. Cancels with the outer rim consisting of two lines are forgeries.

(forgery)

Fournier forgeries as taken from a Fournier Album of Philatelic Forgeries (reduced sizes). The 'T's have too short bottom parts in these forgeries (source: Serrane guide).

These stamps are known to have been reprinted (privately) and forged. More information can be found in “GREECE. A collection of forgeries.” by Rienk M. Feenstra. Imperforate stamps are always reprints according to this source. Even imperforate stamps with inverted heads exist for the Drachme values. In the Lepta values, there is a white dash between the letters 'Y' and L in the word 'DOULH'

Forgeries
In the genuine stamps and reprints, in the Lepta values, there is a single solid line below the word 'KYBEPNHSIS'. In the forgeries, this line is doubled.
In the Drachme values, the line surrounding the top inscription is double on the right hand side in the genuine stamps, in the forgeries, this line is single.
These forgeries also exist without dividing lines. Genuine stamps have dividing lines between the individual stamps. Forgeries have perforations ranging from 11 to 14 1/2 x 13 according to the Feenstra book.

Genuine, or reprint 20 l lilac, forgery
Left probably reprint, right forgery.

Forgeries, with "FAUX" overprint

In the forgery the right hand upper side consists of 2 lines only (one thick outer frameline and one thinner one around the upper text); in the genuine stamps, there is one thick frameline and two thinner lines surrounding the smaller rectangler. The shading behind the head is also badly done in this forgery.

These stamps were only valid inside Crete and used by the insurgants.
