I've been told that this is an essay of 1849, it has 'C ESPANA C' top and a portrait of a woman (not the Queen) with a crown. There is no value indication and the color is red.

1851 Queen Isabella II, inscription 'CORREOS FRANCO 1851'

Certified genuine stamps.

  6 Cs black
  12 Cs lilac
  2 Rs red
  5 Rs red
  6 Rs blue
  10 Rs green

The 6 Cs is the most common stamp. All other are quite rare to very rare (the 2 Rs red is very rare). An extremely rare misprint exists: 2 Rs in the colour blue instead of red (only 3 copies known to exist). Other sources say that this 2 Rs blue is a proof and not a misprint. For forgeries of the 1851 issue click here (by the way, I'm not sure that all the above stamps are genuine).

For the specialist: the 6 Cs is printed on thick or thin paper.
