Just after the second world war, numerous local stamps were issued in Germany. Some examples are given below:

Perleberg (Brandenburg)

Hitler stamps overprinted with star with pearls.

 

Plauen

  5+3 p green 
  6+4 p green (ruins)
  6+4 p green (man reparing)
  8+6 p red
  12+8 p brown 
  20+10 p blue (building)
  20+10 p blue (value with flower motifs)

 

Rosswein

I've seen the value 12 p with inscription 'DEUTSCHE POST' in a block of four with overprint 'ROSSWEIN 1376 1946' in a octagonal with an image of a horse in the center. The overprint exists in brown and black.

 

Ründeroth

  3 p black (blue underprint)
  6 p green (blue underprint)
  12 p red (blue underprint)

 

Saulgau

Spremberg

I have seen the values 3 p brown, 4 p blue, 5 p green, 6 p blue, 8 p orange, 12 p red, 42 p brown, 54 p green both perforated and imperforated.

These stamps exist overprinted 'Wideraufbau 1 Mark'. I have seen 8 p orange, 8 p blue, 12 p red, 12 p green, both imperforated and perforated.

 

Schwarzenberg

Storkow

Bird (stork), inscription 'POST' on top 'STADT STORKOW' below

  3 p yellow
  4 p blue
  5 p green
  6 p violet 
  8 p orange
  12 p black

These stamps are usually perforated, but I have also seen them imperforate.

Another stamp with 'STADT STORKOW POST NIE VERGESSEN' with 'KZ' and a triangle in the center was issued (value 12+38 p, colour red). This stamp was issued in a mini sheet containing just one stamp.


Stadt Storkow +10 overprint on stamp of 'Stadt Berlin'. I've seen this overprint on all 7 stamps of the Berlin issue.

 

Strausberg

Some Hitler stamps were overprinted with bars and 'Stadt Strausberg'. Other stamps simply received 'Stadt Strausberg' as overprint.

Blocks with 4 stamps and inscription 'Stadt Strausberg Aufbau POST' were issued. I have seen the following values:
In red: 5+45, 6+44, 8+42, 12+38 (both perforated and imperforate)
In black: 5+45, 6+44, 8+42, 12+38 (only imperforate, also in a sheet of four values with thick black border).

 

Unna

Stamps with inscription 'Gebuhr bezahlt Postage prepaid Taxe percue Postamt Unna' were issued. I have seen the values 6 p black and 12 p black .

 

Vlotho


(Circular seal, cancelled with 'VLOTHO Gebuhr bezahlt')

Wasungen

I've seen a mini-sheet with 4 stamps; 2 p black ('Rathaus'), 10 p green ('Burg Maienluft'), 30 p red ('Damenstift') and 42 p blue ('Amtsgericht').

 

Wederstede

Stamps of Hitler with '..... V' overprinted.

 

Wittenberg

Some Hitler stamps received a black blotch in Wittenberg. I have also seen a block with 6 stamps commemorating Luther in the values: 12+18 p red, 60+60 p black, 24+38 p brown, 48+52 p green, 20+30 p blue and 16+34 p green.

 

Wuppertal-Elberfeld

Some labels with 'Gebuhr Bezahlt' were issued in this town, sorry, no pictures available yet.

 

Wurzen

Some Hitler stamps were overprinted with a violet square pattern.

 

Other stamps with Hitler surcharged:

The next stamp is a so-called 'Sachsische Schwarzung' (Saxony blackening), the head of Hitler was covered with black ink.
